Description

Role: Technical Program Manager (Firmware – Wireless ASIC)
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead firmware development programs for cutting-edge wireless ASIC products. This role requires strong technical depth in embedded systems and firmware, combined with exceptional program management capabilities to drive cross-functional execution from concept to production. The ideal candidate will work closely with silicon, firmware, hardware, validation, and product teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality firmware solutions for next-generation wireless connectivity products.

Responsibilities

Program Management

• Lead end-to-end firmware development programs for wireless ASIC products
• Define and drive program plans, milestones, and deliverables across teams
• Ensure alignment between silicon, firmware, hardware, validation, and product teams
• Track progress, risks, dependencies, and proactively drive mitigation
• Manage schedule, scope, and execution quality

Technical Leadership

• Understand system architecture involving:
  • Wireless protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UWB, etc.)
  • SoC/ASIC firmware interactions
• Work with engineering teams to:
  • Define firmware architecture and deliverables
  • Resolve technical trade-offs and dependencies
• Drive bring-up, debugging, and issue resolution in early silicon phases

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as the central point of contact between:
  • Firmware
  • FPGA / ASIC design teams
  • Validation / QA
  • Systems / Product teams
• Drive clear communication of program status to leadership and stakeholders

Risk & Issue Management

• Identify and manage:
  • Technical risks (silicon readiness, FW stability, interoperability)
  • Program risks (schedule slips, resource constraints)
• Implement escalation and recovery plans

Execution & Delivery

• Ensure firmware releases meet:
  • Quality metrics
  • Performance targets
  • Customer and product requirements
• Drive continuous improvement in development and release processes

Required Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in:
  • Embedded systems / firmware development
  • Technical Program Management / Engineering Program Management
• Strong understanding of:
  • Embedded firmware (C/C++)
  • RTOS / bare-metal systems
  • ASIC/SoC development lifecycle
• Experience with:
  • Wireless technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.)
  • Silicon bring-up and debugging

Desired Experience and Skills

• Prior experience in wireless chipset or semiconductor companies
• Hands-on exposure to:
  • Firmware debugging tools (JTAG, logic analyzers)
  • Protocol stacks (BLE, Wi-Fi MAC/PHY interaction)
• Familiarity with:
  • Agile/Hybrid program management
  • CI/CD for firmware releases
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
