In this role, you will manage a team of engineers while being responsible for designing, deploying, and operating production-grade OpenStack environments, driving infrastructure reliability, and leading strategic technical initiatives that power our cloud platform at scale. You will operate at the intersection of deep systems engineering, platform architecture, and operational excellence. This role is ideal for engineers who have battle-tested experience running OpenStack in production, a strong automation-first mindset, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while contributing to strategic infrastructure decisions. ##What You'll Do 1. Team Leadership & People Management Lead, mentor, and grow a team of OpenStack infrastructure engineers Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, career development planning, and goal setting for team members Build and maintain team culture focused on ownership, collaboration, continuous learning, and technical excellence Participate in hiring processes: define role requirements, conduct technical interviews, and make hiring decisions Manage team capacity, workload distribution, on-call rotations, and escalation procedures Foster cross-functional collaboration with Platform Engineering, Security, Compliance, and Customer Success teams
