DP-COE (Digital Photonics Center of Excellence), being part of Keysight Technologies has the responsibility for developing innovative products in the crucial portfolio segment of Oscilloscopes, Photonics, AWG (Arbitrary Waveform Generator), BERT (Bit Error Rate Tester), Digitizer, Logic Analysis, Protocol Analysis which provide fast, extensive insight and enable engineering teams to do their job faster, with higher quality. We serve our customers in the Computer, Semiconductor, Wireless, Automotive, Storage and Communication, Quantum industries with leading edge products and solutions. Keysight Solution teams work closely with DP-COE to provide required solutions to these industries.

As a Senior Test & Measurement Software Engineer (AI Solutions), you will work on bringing AI-powered capabilities into our digital measurement instrument products, in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with international teams. You will be responsible for designing and developing complex software that combines AI components with high-performance instrument software, taking architectural direction from our Solutions Architect and delivering production-ready features with limited day-to-day oversight. This is the senior technical position for this team in India, and you will also set the engineering bar locally and provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers on site as the team grows.

You will work closely with the Solutions Architect, R&D Project Manager, Product Management, software engineers, QA and validation, and other stakeholders to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones. There will be significant ongoing interaction with our design teams located in the United States and Germany, so the candidate should be a strong team worker and should be able and willing to collaborate across sites and time zones.

Essential: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science (or equivalent) with strong software engineering skills.- Minimum 8 years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in a senior software development role.- Experience in developing a significant software application.- Proven mastery of one or more modern software languages such as C++ or C#.- Strong foundation in software design patterns, system architecture, and performance optimization for complex multi-threaded or real-time systems.- Expertise with Git and CI/CD pipeline workflows.- Demonstrated hands-on experience deploying software components in production environments.- Familiarity with — and a strong desire to learn — AI data flow, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool/function calling, and multi-step agent reasoning.- Demonstrated ability to work independently against architectural direction set by a colleague in another time zone, and to mentor less experienced engineers.- Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Excellent team player, responsive and accountable.- Self-starter. Willing and able to quickly learn new applications and technologies.
- Experience in international collaboration (US, Europe).

Preferred: - Experience with Keysight instruments like oscilloscopes, BERTs or AWGs — or a strong foundation in a closely related measurement or signal-processing domain with the ability to ramp quickly.- Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or similar orchestration toolkits.- Experience building multi-agent systems or custom orchestration layers, including agent roles, tool calls, memory, and reasoning loops.- Experience deploying AI/ML models on edge or embedded platforms, including model quantization, pruning, and on-device inference optimization.- Knowledge of hardware/software integration, FPGA data pipelines, or low-level driver interfaces relevant to AI-assisted signal processing.- Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, explainability tooling (SHAP, LIME, attention visualization), and responsible AI practices.- Experience implementing secure AI data flows with attention to data integrity and traceability.- Atlassian tool experience — Bitbucket, Confluence, Jira.- Scrum agile software development process background.- Test-driven development experience.
- Prior experience as the senior engineer at a satellite or secondary engineering site.
