AWS Data Engineer

Job Title : AWS Data engineer who has Provisioned RedShift cluster managementRequired Skills : AWS Data engineer, Expertise on Provisioning redshift cluster management, SQL, with understanding on WLM (Workload Management)Location : RemoteJoining period : Immediate joinersDuration : 6 Months extendableYears of experience : 6-9 years- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift specifically must have provisioned Cluster deployments.- Strong expertise in Redshift internals such as distribution styles, sort keys, compression encodings, and query execution plan analysis using EXPLAIN. Proven experience executing large-scale data warehouse migrations with minimal or zero downtime.- Must have deep understanding of Workload Management (WLM) configuration, including manual and automatic WLM, queue prioritization, concurrency scaling, and Short Query Acceleration (SQA). Ability to design and tune WLM queues to balance mixed workloads (ETL, ad-hoc analytics, BI reporting) on a Provisioned Cluster.- Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as AWS Glue, dbt, Apache Airflow, or Step Functions.- Strong knowledge of AWS networking fundamentals - VPC design, subnets, security groups, Enhanced VPC Routing, and PrivateLink - as they relate to Redshift connectivity and security.- Familiarity with Redshift RA3 managed storage architecture, Data Sharing, Redshift Spectrum, AQUA, and Concurrency Scaling. Experience with Redshift system tables and views for performance diagnostics, query monitoring, and capacity planning.- Working knowledge of IAM roles, KMS encryption, and audit logging (CloudTrail, Redshift Audit Logs) for securing and governing the Redshift environment. Experience with cluster resize operations (Elastic Resize, Classic Resize) and snapshot management for disaster recovery planning. (ref:hirist.tech)
