Position: Cyber Security Analyst - Data ScienceLocation: HyderabadExperience: 2 - 3 YearsEmployment Type: ContractorAbout the Role :We are looking for a motivated Cybersecurity Data Science Contractor with a strong foundation in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Cybersecurity. The role combines data-driven techniques with practical security operations to analyze security data, identify threats and anomalies, and develop solutions that improve cybersecurity detection and response.Key Responsibilities :- Develop and support data-driven models for threat, anomaly, and insider-risk detection.- Apply Machine Learning techniques including logistic regression, clustering, gradient descent, and neural networks.- Perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) on endpoint, network, cloud, identity, and vulnerability datasets.- Work with Security Operations and Threat Intelligence teams to develop features, metrics, and detection models.- Contribute to automation workflows, anomaly scoring, and security dashboards.- Research and experiment with AI/ML techniques, including NLP, embeddings, and anomaly detection.- Analyze large volumes of security telemetry to identify actionable insights.- Present technical findings and proof-of-concept results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Required Qualifications:- 2 - 3 years of relevant experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, or a related field.- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline.- Strong understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals, including optimization, gradient descent, and supervised/unsupervised learning.- Hands-on experience with Python and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow.- Basic understanding of Cybersecurity concepts, including threats, vulnerabilities, intrusion detection, and MITRE ATT&CK.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work with large datasets and communicate findings effectively.Key Skills :Python, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Anomaly Detection, Threat Detection, MITRE ATT&CK, NLP, Security Analytics.
