Senior Backend Engineer I - Java

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer I - Java Backend with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, AWS Cloud, and System Design.This role requires a highly skilled engineer who can design, develop, and scale distributed backend systems that power mission-critical applications.You will be responsible for architecting and building highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient backend services while collaborating closely with product managers, architects, and engineering teams.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on coding expertise along with the ability to drive technical discussions, system design decisions, and architectural best practices.Key Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java (Java 11/17+), Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.- Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of distributed systems and cloud-native services.- Drive system design discussions, architecture reviews, and technical decision-making across teams.- Build highly available, fault-tolerant, and resilient applications capable of handling large-scale traffic and data volumes.- Design and implement RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures following industry best practices.- Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability through architectural improvements.- Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.- Implement and enforce software engineering best practices including code quality, design patterns, test automation, and CI/CD.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.- Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot production issues, and implement preventive measures.- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and architecture discussions.- Drive modernization initiatives, technical debt reduction, and platform enhancements.- Contribute to database design, data modeling, caching strategies, and performance optimization.Required Qualifications :- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 7+ years focused on Java backend development.- Strong expertise in Core Java, including Collections, Concurrency, Multithreading, JVM Internals, Memory Management, and Performance Tuning.- Extensive hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and REST API development.- Proven experience designing and implementing Microservices-based architectures.- Strong understanding of System Design principles, including :1.
