Data Governance Analyst
Role: Data Governance Analyst Basic Required Qualifications
- Education :
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Management, Business, or related discipline)
- Experience :
- 3–5 years of experience in:
- Data governance
- Data quality and preparation
- Data classification and metadata management
- Deep understanding of data governance principles , frameworks (e.g., DAMA ), and industry best practices
- Experience with data privacy regulations and compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
- Technical Skills :
- Proficiency in data management tools , governance platforms, and databases
- Familiarity with tools for data quality management , data cataloging , and metadata documentation
- Soft Skills :
- Proven ability to engage and manage multiple business stakeholders
- Ability to align with senior enterprise leadership to drive governance strategies
- Strong collaborative mindset with structured problem-solving skills
- Innovative and adaptable , with experience working across global teams
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of enterprise applications such as:
- Salesforce , Marketo , Cvent , OneTrust , and commercial platforms
- Proficient in:
- MS Excel , MS PowerPoint
- Data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
- Experience working in Agile environments with a LEAN mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate technical governance issues for non-technical stakeholders
Certifications (Preferred)
- Certified Data Governance and Stewardship Professional
- Certified Data Governance Practitioner
- Salesforce Administrator or Associate Certification
- Gen AI-related certification (preferred for forward-looking data strategy roles)
Work Hours
- Shift : 8:30 AM EST – 5:30 PM EST
- Flexibility required to collaborate across time zones
