Description : Job Description IT Infrastructure Team LeadRole : IT Infrastructure Team LeadJob Summary : We are looking for an experienced and proactive IT Infrastructure Team Lead to oversee and manage the organizations hybrid IT infrastructure environment, including cloud platforms, on-premises systems, enterprise networks, cybersecurity, virtualization, and business-critical IT services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high system availability, operational efficiency, infrastructure security, disaster recovery readiness, and smooth day-to-day IT operations.This role requires strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, networking, Windows administration, virtualization technologies, and IT security, along with proven leadership capabilities to guide technical teams, manage escalations, and drive continuous infrastructure improvements.Key Responsibilities : - Lead and manage the organizations hybrid IT infrastructure, including cloud and on-premises environments.- Administer and optimize Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, networking, storage, identity management, and cloud governance.- Manage and support Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, and user access management.- Oversee enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, routing, switching, and network performance optimization.- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of servers, storage, backup systems, and enterprise applications.- Manage Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity access controls.- Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, endpoint security, vulnerability management, patching, access management, and security monitoring.- Lead virtualization environments using technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.- Develop, implement, and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and operational risks.- Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity planning, incident management, and root cause analysis for critical issues.- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to support business systems and infrastructure requirements.- Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and operational best practices.- Drive infrastructure modernization, automation, and process improvement initiatives.- Manage IT assets, licensing, system documentation, and standard operating procedures.- Lead, mentor, and guide infrastructure team members, ensuring timely issue resolution and team productivity.- Handle major incident escalations and ensure minimal business disruption through effective troubleshooting and ownership.Required Skills and Qualifications : - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, system administration, or enterprise IT operations.- Minimum 3+ years of experience leading infrastructure or IT operations teams.- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and infrastructure management.- Expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and security policies.- Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and identity management.- Experience managing enterprise networking technologies, including firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and network security.- Good understanding of cybersecurity practices, endpoint security, vulnerability management, SIEM, antivirus, and compliance standards.- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent.- Experience in backup, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity management.- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.- Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools and incident management processes.- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and team coordination skills.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.Preferred Qualifications : - Certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft 365 Certified, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), CCNA/CCNP, ITIL, or cybersecurity certifications are preferred.- Experience in infrastructure automation, scripting (PowerShell), or cloud governance practices.- Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and enterprise-scale IT operations.Key Competencies : - Team Leadership- Infrastructure Management- Cloud Administration (Azure)- Microsoft 365 Management- Cybersecurity & Risk Management- Network Administration- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity- Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution- Stakeholder Management- Process Improvement & Automation (ref:hirist.tech)
