Supply Chain Planner
Cummins is hiring for the role of Supply Chain Planner!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Execute daily supply chain planning activities across assigned functional areas to ensure uninterrupted operations and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain planning strategies that improve planning signals and optimize material flow across the supply chain.
- Monitor, review, and adjust planning parameters within supply chain planning systems to improve forecast accuracy and operational performance.
- Analyze supply chain data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, performance gaps, root causes, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Identify potential supply chain risks, material shortages, or planning exceptions and implement timely mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, suppliers, and other cross-functional stakeholders to resolve planning issues and improve operational performance.
- Utilize planning systems and supporting analytical tools to manage supply and demand, inventory levels, replenishment, and material availability.
- Support engineering change management activities, including new part introductions, supersessions, and obsolescence planning while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Apply Plan for Every Part (PFEP) principles to improve material flow, inventory management, transportation, warehouse operations, and master data accuracy.
- Support development and maintenance of Master Supply Schedules to align procurement, production, and replenishment activities with business requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes, systems, and supply chain performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

- Typically requires experience in supply chain planning, materials planning, production planning, inventory management, logistics, or related supply chain functions.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP planning systems and supply chain planning tools is preferred.
- Experience using business intelligence tools and advanced planning systems for inventory optimization and operational decision-making is an advantage.
- For senior internal candidates, significant experience leading supply planning and material planning activities within complex manufacturing or global supply chain environments is preferred.
- Experience collaborating with international suppliers and cross-functional global teams is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within cross-functional teams.
