Role: Software Engineer (Android)
Location: Ahmedabad (Work from Office)
Education : Bachelor's degree in computer science , Information Technology, or related field
Role Overview
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain Android features primarily in Java; write clean, modular, and testable code.
- Implement UI screens using XML layouts and Views; working knowledge of Jetpack components (LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation).
- Participate in code reviews; give and receive constructive feedback to uphold coding standards.
- Debug, reproduce, and fix defects independently; escalate complex issues as needed.
- Write JUnit and Espresso tests; maintain reasonable code coverage on feature work.
- Break down assigned tasks, estimate effort, and deliver consistently within sprint commitments.
- Collaborate with designers, QA, and backend engineers to deliver features end-to-end.
AI-FIRST
- Use Claude (Anthropic), OpenAI Codex, and GitHub Copilot daily to write, refactor, and document Java/Kotlin code faster.
- Integrate ML Kit APIs (text recognition, translation, smart reply) for AI-powered in-app features.
- Build UI components that surface AI-generated suggestions or predictions to end users.
