Billing Executive – Logistics & Transport

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and generate transport/logistics invoices accurately and on time.

Verify LR (Lorry Receipt), POD (Proof of Delivery), e-way bills, trip sheets, and supporting documents before billing.

Coordinate with operations, dispatch, and customers for billing-related queries.

Ensure freight, detention, loading/unloading, and other charges are billed correctly.

Maintain billing records, customer accounts, and invoice documentation.

Process debit notes, credit notes, and billing adjustments.

Follow up on pending PODs and ensure timely invoice submission.

Reconcile invoices with customer contracts and rate agreements.

Assist the accounts team in payment reconciliation and outstanding follow-ups.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly billing and MIS reports.

Ensure compliance with GST and company billing policies.

Handle customer queries regarding invoices and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Maintain accurate data entry in ERP/TMS/software.

Support audits by providing billing-related documents and reports.

Required Skills

Experience in Logistics, Transport, Freight, or Supply Chain billing.

Strong knowledge of GST billing and invoicing.

Familiarity with LR, POD, E-way Bill, Freight Billing, Trip Sheet, and Transport Documentation.

Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Tally/SAP or logistics software.

Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
