"NB : We are recruiting for a Scheduled commercial Bank" Job Title: Senior Manager / Chief Manager - IR Years of Experience: 15 –30 Years Key Responsibilities: Union Negotiations: Acting as the primary liaison between bank management and unions to negotiate settlements and wage revisions. Conflict Resolution: Resolving labor disputes and managing grievances promptly to avoid work disruptions. Legal Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to complex national and local labor laws and regulations. Policy Implementation: Developing and implementing HR policies to promote a positive work environment, often distinguishing themselves from employee engagement teams by focusing on collective bargaining and union issues Strategic IR Management: Develop and implement labor relations strategies aligning with bank objectives, focusing on proactive conflict resolution and minimizing disruptions. Union & Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary liaison between management and employee unions/representatives, fostering constructive relationships. Collective Bargaining: Lead negotiations, manage long-term settlements, and handle conciliation processes or disputes. Compliance and Legal: Ensure strict adherence to labour laws, employment regulations, statutory compliance, and internal policies. Grievance Handling: Oversee the resolution of employee grievances and disciplinary procedures, ensuring fairness and timely closure. Advisory Role: Advise senior leadership on labor law amendments, union trends, and risks to workforce stability. Required Qualifications & Skills Education: Master's degree in HR, Industrial Relations, or related field (e.g., MBA, LLM). Experience: Significant experience (5-10+ years) in IR, with a strong background in union negotiations and banking sector regulations. Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation, persuasion, and conflict management skills. Legal Knowledge: In-depth understanding of employment law
