Manager - Sync & Licensing

We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Sync & Licensing Manager to drive revenue opportunities through the licensing of music across film, television, streaming platforms, advertising, gaming, social media, brand partnerships, and other emerging media formats. The role will be responsible for identifying licensing opportunities, managing client relationships, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring smooth execution of licensing agreements.

What you'll do:

• Identify and develop synchronization licensing opportunities across advertising agencies, production houses, OTT platforms, broadcasters and brands. Achieve licensing revenue targets through proactive business development efforts.
• Licensing & Deal Negotiation. Negotiate commercial terms for synchronization and master use licenses. Structure licensing deals in line with company policies and rights ownership requirements.
• Pitch relevant repertoire for films, web series, advertisements, promotional campaigns, and digital content. Build and maintain strong relationships with music supervisors, production houses, advertising agencies, and brand marketing teams.
• Work closely with legal and business affairs teams to execute agreements efficiently. Manage renewals, extensions, and amendments of existing licensing arrangements. Ensure all licensing activities comply with contractual and copyright requirements. Partner with cross-functional teams including Legal, Finance, Marketing, Digital, Artist Management, and A&R.
• Maintain accurate licensing records and reporting.
• Provide regular market intelligence and opportunity updates to senior management.

Who you are:

• 5-6 years of experience in music licensing, entertainment, media sales, business development, or related fields.

• Master's degree in Business Management or a related discipline.

• Strong understanding of Indian and global music licensing, including synchronization licensing, copyright, publishing, and master rights.

• Proven experience negotiating licensing agreements and commercial contracts.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
