Job Description – City Head (Business Development & Operations)
Locations: Pune

About the Role
We are looking for a highly entrepreneurial and execution-focused City Head to lead business growth, sales operations, team performance, and city expansion initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of building and scaling businesses, managing large teams, and driving revenue growth in a fast-paced startup environment.
As the City Head, you will be responsible for establishing and growing the city business, achieving revenue targets, building high-performing teams, and ensuring operational excellence while working closely with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Revenue Management
- Drive city-level revenue growth and achieve business objectives.
- Develop and execute market expansion and customer acquisition strategies.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and growth channels.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and conversion funnel.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage multiple sales teams across the city.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and results.
- Monitor team productivity, coach managers, and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage teams comprising multiple units with at least 7+ members per team.
City Operations & Expansion
- Lead city launch and business expansion initiatives from planning to execution.
- Establish operational processes and infrastructure to support business growth.
- Ensure smooth coordination between sales, recruitment, finance, and operations functions.
- Drive operational excellence and process standardization across teams.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Leverage existing professional networks to generate business opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Represent the organization in local business forums and industry events.
Performance & Target Management
- Own both personal and team revenue targets.
- Track key business metrics and implement corrective actions where required.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to optimize performance.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience
- 12–14 years of professional experience with significant exposure to sales and business development.
- Prior experience working in a startup or high-growth environment is mandatory.
- Proven experience managing regional/state-level business operations.
- Demonstrated success in launching and scaling city operations.
- Strong B2B sales background with revenue ownership.
Leadership Experience
- Managed multiple teams and team leaders.
- Experience leading at least 4 teams with 7+ members each .
- Strong people management, coaching, and leadership capabilities.
