The mechanical engineer will be responsible for production planning, process control, equipment reliability and shop-floor supervision for copper and other non-ferrous product manufacturing. The role requires hands-on experience in casting, extrusion, drawing, finishing and industrial machine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and execute daily and monthly production schedules based on order priorities, machine capacity and material availability.
2. Supervise melting, casting, billet preparation, extrusion, drawing, straightening, cutting and finishing operations.
3. Monitor critical process parameters to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface quality and required mechanical properties.
4. Control production output, yield, rejection, scrap generation, cycle time and material consumption.
5. Identify and resolve process defects, equipment abnormalities and production bottlenecks.
6. Coordinate preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of furnaces, extrusion presses, drawing machines, hydraulic systems and auxiliary equipment.
7. Improve machine availability, productivity, process capability and overall equipment effectiveness.
8. Develop and maintain SOPs, process sheets, maintenance schedules and production records.
9. Lead operators, technicians and shop-floor personnel, allocate manpower and monitor shift performance.
10. Coordinate with quality, maintenance, stores, procurement and management to ensure uninterrupted production.
11. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, housekeeping and 5S standards.
12. Support new product development, process trials, tooling improvements and capacity-enhancement projects.

2. Practical knowledge of copper or other non-ferrous metal production processes is desirable.

4. Ability to supervise shop-floor teams, coordinate with operators and manage daily production activities.
