Senior Manager - AI & Data Governance

Description : - One of the global pharmaceutical organizations based in Bangalore is looking for professionals for an AI & Data Governance role.Location : BangaloreKey Responsibilities : - Develop and maintain the organization's AI and data governance framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.- Define and implement data quality standards, policies, and procedures to improve data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all systems.- Collaborate with data owners and stewards to establish data ownership, accountability, and access controls, safeguarding sensitive information.- Conduct risk assessments and gap analyses to identify potential data governance risks and develop mitigation strategies, protecting the organization from compliance violations.- Monitor and enforce compliance with data governance policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to internal standards and external regulations.- Provide guidance and training to employees on data governance principles and best practices, fostering a data-driven culture.- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in AI and data governance, recommending innovative solutions to enhance our governance capabilities.- Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure AI and data practices comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA.Key Requirements : - 7 to 16 years of experience in AI Governance, Data Governance, Risk Management, or related domains- Strong understanding of AI/ML systems, including Generative AI and model lifecycle management- Experience in embedding governance frameworks into technical platforms and development lifecycles- Hands-on exposure to regulatory frameworks such as EU AI Act, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, and GDPR- Ability to work closely with Legal, IT, and Business stakeholders, translating regulatory and technical requirements into business standards- Experience in federated/data mesh environments would be an added advantage- Preferred exposure to Microsoft Azure ecosystem and Databricks- Strong communication skills in English; German language knowledge is a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
