Your role and responsibilities

Responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Meets both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. Responsible to identify and develop new sales opportunities.

The role will support for the ABB India Ltd for Electrification Smart Building Operations Business to be based at CHENNAI, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Business Development & Target Achievement: Deliver customer preference, order booking, and revenue targets for the Chennai cluster through technical promotion, ensuring customer satisfaction and business continuity.
• Market Intelligence & Opportunity Development: Identify new business opportunities across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for LV products, prepare customer potential lists, track market trends, and focus on competitor account conversion and customer retention.
• Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain good relationships with customers, architects, consultants, and stakeholders across buildings, data centers, government, and infrastructure segments to promote ABB Smart Buildings and Smart Power products.
• Technical Promotion & Business Conversion: Generate leads and enquiries, support tender design and specifications, conduct product demonstrations, seminars, webinars, and promotional events, and collaborate with Product Marketing and Segment Managers to improve business conversion.
• Reporting, Tools & Compliance: Maintain customer visit plans, enquiry pipelines, promotional activities, and project updates; prepare monthly forecasts through Salesforce (SFDC); use Partner Doc Web, Salesforce, and Power BI; and ensure strict adherence to ABB policies and guidelines.

Qualifications for the role

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree (B.E.) in Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Solid product and market knowledge of Low Voltage (LV) electrical products.
• Good technical knowledge of Distribution Boards (DBs), DIN rail products, wiring accessories, ACBs, and MCCBs.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain good relationships with customers across buildings, data centers, government, and infrastructure segments.
• Established network with architects, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders to build customer preference and support business development.
• Proficiency in Partner Hub Doc Web, Salesforce (SFDC), Power BI, and other relevant business tools, with experience in preparing monthly sales forecasts.
• Ability to ensure strict adherence to ABB policies and guidelines while supporting sales targets, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
