Infosys - Senior Technologist - Artificial Intelligence

Infosys Strategic Technology Group (STG) is the deep tech innovation engine of Infosys, driving next generation platforms, AI first products, and applied research at scale.We work at the intersection of AI research, engineering rigor, and real world impact, building systems that move millions of users, enterprises, and ecosystems.If you want to build AI systems-not demos, this is where you belong.Role Overview : We are looking for high caliber AI professionals who can design, build, and scale intelligent systems-from LLM powered applications and agentic workflows to AI platforms deployed in production.This role demands strong fundamentals, hands on coding, and architectural depth, not just API level usage of AI.AI Engineering & System Design : - Design and build production grade AI/ML & GenAI systems (LLMs, vision, multimodal, decision AI)- Architect end to end GenAI pipelines : data - training/fine tuning - inference - monitoring- Build Agentic AI systems using tool calling, planning, memory, orchestration, and feedback loops- Implement RAG architectures, embeddings, vector search, retrieval optimization, and evaluation Model Development & Optimization : - Work with LLMs (open & closed), fine tuning (LoRA/PEFT), prompt engineering, alignment- Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/JAX/TensorFlow)- Optimize inference for latency, cost, and scale (quantization, batching, GPUs) Platform, MLOps & Production : - Build MLOps/LLMOps pipelines : CI/CD, model versioning, monitoring, drift detection- Deploy AI systems on cloud native stacks (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Kubernetes- Ensure security, compliance, observability, and reliability of AI systems Research & Innovation : - Translate research ideas into deployable systems- Collaborate with researchers, architects, and product teams- Publish papers, file patents, or contribute to open source (role dependent)Core Technical Skills : - Strong programming skills in Python (mandatory); Java/C++ a plus- Solid foundations in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, CV- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design- Experience building real production systems (not just notebooks) AI / GenAI Stack : - LLMs, Transformers, Diffusion models (role dependent)- RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases (FAISS, Milvus, Pinecone, etc.)- Agent frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI like patterns, custom agents)- Model evaluation, hallucination mitigation, guardrails Cloud & Platforms : - Containers, Kubernetes, Microservices- MLOps tools, Feature stores, Model registries- GPU/Accelerator usage and optimizationWhat Sets You Apart (Nice to Have) : - Experience working in AI research labs, product companies, or deep tech startups- Publications, patents, Kaggle/ICML/NeurIPS exposur- Open source contributions- Experience building AI platforms or developer facing systems (ref:hirist.tech)
