SAP CX Commerce Cloud Consultant - Hybris

Summary :The role of an SAP CX (SAP Customer Experience) consultant involves providing expertise and support in the implementation, customization, and maintenance of SAP CX modules for clients. The consultant will work closely with business and Power users to understand their business needs and develop customized solutions that meet those needs. The consultant will also be responsible for training and supporting business on the use of SAP CX as needed in commerce cloud.Key Responsibilities :Solution Architecture & Design :- Translate business requirements into scalable Commerce Cloud architectures.- Define data models, service layers and integration patterns between SAP CX, S/4HANA, Sales Cloud and other SAP modules.Development & Configuration :- Implement custom Commerce Cloud extensions using Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, and SAP Commerce APIs.- Leverage composable storefront approaches (e.g., Spartacus, headless storefront frameworks) for responsive, modular front-ends.- Optimize application performance: caching strategies, code profiling, database tuning and load testing.Integration & Testing :- Develop robust integrations (OData, RESTful services, SAP Cloud Platform Integration) with S/4HANA and upstream/downstream systems.- Lead unit, integration and UAT cycles; author automated test suites to ensure quality and regression coverage.Maintenance & Support :- Troubleshoot production issues; perform root-cause analysis and implement fixes or performance enhancements.- Monitor system health (logs, metrics) and propose continuous improvements.Documentation & Training :- Produce clear technical documentation: architecture diagrams, API specs, configuration guides and runbooks.- Mentor junior developers and deliver knowledge-transfer sessions to stakeholders.Cross-Functional Collaboration :- Partner with functional consultants (SD, MM, FI/CO), UX/UI designers, DevOps and business users to deliver end-to-end solutions.- Contribute to sprint-based agile ceremonies, backlog grooming and release planning.Required Qualifications :Education & Experience :- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.- 8+ years of hands-on Java/Spring development, with at least 5 years in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) implementations.Technical Skills :- Java 8+, Spring Framework, J2EE, multi-threading and performance tuning.- SAP Commerce modules: PCM, OMS, SmartEdit, Back-office, and integration APIs.- Front-end: Spartacus, Angular/React, headless/composable storefront principles.- Integration: OData, REST/SOAP, SAP CPI/PO.- Databases: SQL tuning, indexing and caching strategies (Ehcache, Redis).- DevOps: CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI), Docker/Kubernetes. SAP Expertise :- Strong understanding of SAP CX suite (Commerce Cloud, Sales Cloud) and SAP S/4HANA SD module.- Experience with at least 2 full S/4HANA implementations and 2 rollouts.- SAP certifications in Commerce Cloud (C_C4HDEV) and SD/S4HANA (C_TS4C_SD_2020) preferred.Soft Skills :- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.- Strong verbal and written communication; able to lead workshops and present to technical and non-technical audiences.- Self-starter with a collaborative, agile mindset.
