Mobile Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities :- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for Android and iOS applications.- Design scalable and reusable mobile automation frameworks.- Create and execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.- Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot application defects and automation failures.- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.- Perform API testing and validate backend services where required.- Execute tests across real devices, emulators, and simulators.- Maintain test documentation, automation reports, and defect tracking.- Continuously improve test coverage, reliability, execution speed, and automation processes.Required Skills :- 3+ years of experience in software testing with strong hands-on mobile automation experience.- Experience with Appium, Selenium, or equivalent mobile automation tools.- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Kotlin.- Hands-on experience with Android and/or iOS application testing.- Knowledge of mobile UI automation, device capabilities, gestures, permissions, and application lifecycle.- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST-assured.- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications :- Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.- Experience with Android Studio and Xcode.- Knowledge of Appium 2.x and cloud device platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.- Experience with Docker and cloud-based testing environments.- Familiarity with performance, security, or accessibility testing.- Experience with mobile application release and deployment processes.
