Lead Specialist - Data Analytics & Insight

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Data Analytics & Insight team at Marsh Risk . This role will be based in Mumbai . This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

• Have a good understanding of UK insurance market (Whitespace digital e-trading platform would be a plus), leveraging deep knowledge of SQL, Python, and Databricks to extract, transform, and analyze data.

• Collaborate with the UK Aviation team to develop innovative business solutions and growth initiatives using data engineering and analytics capabilities.

• Build and maintain data pipelines and workflows in Databricks, optimizing performance and ensuring data quality.

• Develop and maintain SQL queries and Python scripts to manipulate large datasets and generate actionable insights.

• Design and deliver visually compelling dashboards and reports primarily using Power BI.

• Analyze data from legacy systems and present key statistics and KPIs to stakeholders to support decision-making.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align analytics outputs with business objectives and strategy.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/ Engineering discipline

• 4-6 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting with strong hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, and Databricks.

• Strong data engineering skills including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

• Ability to work with large datasets and complex data models.

• Strong data visualization skills with experience in Power BI.

• Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with complex data sets.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.

• Strong programming skills in Python for data analysis and automation.

• Hands-on experience with Databricks on cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) focusing on data engineering and analytics.

• Knowledge of data pipeline optimization and cloud data services.

• Experience with Power BI for dashboard creation and data visualization; familiarity Power Apps is highly desirable.

• Institutionalize the business and domain knowledge gained through Knowledge management principles and techniques

• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members to deliver high-quality analytics & engineering solutions.
