Senior Manager Legal & Compliance
About the Opportunity Our client is a leading global financial services organization supporting commercial customers through financing, leasing, and insurance solutions. The Legal & Compliance function serves as a strategic partner to the business, providing legal guidance, driving regulatory compliance, and fostering a strong culture of ethics and risk management.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager Legal & Compliance to support the organization's legal and compliance agenda. The role combines regulatory compliance oversight with legal advisory responsibilities, including providing day-to-day compliance guidance, legal opinions, contract review, and support on corporate and commercial matters.
The successful candidate will help strengthen the organization's compliance framework while partnering closely with business stakeholders to manage legal and regulatory risk. Key
Responsibilities
Provide legal and compliance advice to business stakeholders on day-to-day operational matters. Monitor changes in applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, and advise on business impact.
Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of compliance policies, frameworks, and programs.
Assist in compliance risk assessments, reporting, monitoring, and remediation activities.
Support internal compliance reviews, audits, and corrective action tracking.
Ensure appropriate internal controls and preventive compliance measures are implemented.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure ongoing compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
Review and vet commercial agreements and provide legal support for selected negotiations. This is mandatory
Prepare legal opinions and compliance guidance on business matters.
Coordinate with external legal counsel and regulatory advisors where required.
Support corporate governance and company secretarial activities as applicable.
Undertake additional legal and compliance initiatives as assigned.
Candidate Profile
Qualified Company Secretary (ICSI membership mandatory); Law degree preferred.
Approximately 5+ years of relevant legal and compliance experience.
Prior compliance experience within a Bank, NBFC, or listed organization.
Experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts is desirable.
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and corporate governance practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proactive, hands-on, and able to work effectively in a collaborative business environment.

Reports to the Head of Legal & Compliance.
