Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) - Healthcare

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) to join our esteemed healthcare organization in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a safe and compliant radiation environment within our facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive radiation safety programs in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of radiation-utilizing equipment and areas to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Provide training and education to staff on radiation safety principles, procedures, and emergency response.
• Monitor radiation levels and assess potential exposures, recommending protective measures as needed.
• Manage the inventory and security of radioactive materials and radiation-producing equipment.
• Investigate and report any incidents or accidents related to radiation exposure, implementing corrective actions.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and authorities to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of radiation safety program activities, including training, inspections, and incident reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in a relevant scientific field such as Physics, Health Physics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 5 years of experience in radiation safety, preferably within a healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in radiation principles, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of radiation detection equipment and monitoring techniques.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a proactive manner.
• Proficiency in record-keeping and documentation.
