About the job
Key responsibilities:
1. Develop space plans, layouts, and interior design concepts based on client needs, brand identity, and building constraints2. Produce construction documents, including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, millwork details, and finish schedules
3. Select and specify finishes, furniture (FF&E), fixtures, lighting, and materials appropriate to budget and use
4. Ensure designs comply with building codes, accessibility standards, fire/life safety codes, and zoning requirements
5. Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and vendors throughout design and construction phases
6. Conduct site visits and field measurements; perform site observation during construction to ensure design intent is executed correctly
7. Prepare and present design proposals, mood boards, and material boards to clients
8. Manage FF&E procurement, specifications, and installation coordination
9. Track project budgets, timelines, and documentation across multiple concurrent projects
10. Research and stay current on materials, systems, sustainability standards, and industry trends
