Infrastructure Project Manager

The Role

Cogniify is looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager to lead enterprise infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations, data center modernization, hardware refresh, network upgrades and workplace technology initiatives.

You will manage projects from planning through completion, coordinating with infrastructure, network, security, cloud, application and vendor teams. You will keep delivery on track, manage budgets and risks, and provide clear updates to stakeholders and senior leaders.

This role suits someone with strong project management skills and practical experience delivering complex infrastructure changes.

What You will Do

• Project Planning & Delivery: Define project scope, deliverables, milestones and responsibilities. Manage delivery from initiation through closure.
• Infrastructure Transformation: Lead data center migrations and consolidation, AWS or Azure cloud migrations, hardware refresh and infrastructure modernization projects.
• Team Coordination: Work across infrastructure, network, security, cloud, application and vendor teams to manage dependencies and resolve delivery issues.
• Budget & Resource Management: Plan and track budgets, spending and resource utilization. Identify gaps early and take action to keep delivery within agreed limits.
• Risk & Issue Management: Maintain RAID logs covering risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies. Assign owners, track actions and escalate concerns when needed.
• Governance & Reporting: Maintain project plans and status reports. Share progress, risks, financial updates and decisions needed with stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Change & Operational Readiness: Follow ITIL and change management processes. Coordinate testing, migration readiness and handover to support teams.
• Track & Improve: Monitor project metrics and deliverables, adjust plans as priorities change, and use lessons learned to improve future delivery.

What Were Looking For

• 912 years of relevant experience in infrastructure project management.
• Experience delivering data center migrations, cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization and hardware refresh projects.
• Working knowledge of network, compute, storage and virtualization technologies.
• Strong project management skills across scope, schedules, budgets, resources, dependencies and risks.
• Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM), ITIL processes and change management.
• Experience managing project governance, RAID logs and executive reporting.
• Ability to coordinate vendors and multiple technical teams.
• Experience using Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps and ServiceNow.
• Clear communication, strong leadership and the ability to keep stakeholders aligned.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• AWS or Azure cloud certification.
• SAFe Agilist or Scrum Master certification.
• Experience leading large-scale cloud migrations, data center exits, infrastructure outsourcing transitions or global infrastructure programs.
