Senior Quality Assurance Analyst - Manual/Automation Testing

Role : Senior QA AnalystExperience : 5+ YearsAbout the Role : We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Analyst with strong expertise in the Life Insurance domain. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in software testing, workflow/case management systems, and end-to-end quality assurance processes. The role requires close collaboration with business analysts, developers, customers, and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality project delivery.Key Responsibilities : - Analyze Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), and related artifacts to create detailed test scenarios and test cases- Prepare comprehensive test plans, test scripts, and testing documentation- Perform manual and/or automation testing for enterprise applications- Identify, log, track, and manage defects using JIRA- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders to ensure requirement clarity and quality deliverables- Participate in requirement walkthroughs, design discussions, and defect triage meetings- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate end-to-end business workflows- Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and best practices- Coordinate with customer teams during implementation, support, and testing activities- Travel to customer locations when required for project delivery or support engagementsRequired Skills & Experience : - Minimum 5 years of experience in QA and software testing- Strong domain knowledge in Life Insurance processes such as : a. New Businessb. Underwritingc. Policy Administration - Claims Processing- Experience working with Workflow and Case Management systems- Exposure to BPM platforms is an added advantage- Strong experience in preparing test cases from BRD/FSD documents- Hands-on experience with JIRA for defect tracking and project management- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams- Willingness to travel for client/customer engagements when requiredGood-to-Have Skills : - Exposure to automation testing tools/frameworks- Knowledge of : a. BPM platformsb. Rules Enginesc. Insurance Core Systems- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsPreferred Qualifications : - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field- Certification in QA/testing methodologies is an added advantage (ref:hirist.tech)
