Job Description
Prime Function:
- Assist the Engineering Supervisor & other team members of Engineering in maintenance and care of all the equipment.
- Maintain quality of work in order to meet the standards.
- To control and check all the equipment.
- Ensure to work according to the policies and procedures of the hotel.
- Ensure to handle and maintain all equipments properly.
- Any matter which may effect the interests of Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall should be brought to the attention of the Management.
- To abide by the mission statement of the Company and of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Planning
- Assist the Chief Engineer to identify the major facilities and equipment requirements for the department and the property.
- Ensure correct maintenance of all equipment in conjunction with the other user departments & stay abreast of technological advances in surveillance & safety of equipment.
People Management
- Establish and maintain seamless co-ordination & co-operation with all departments of Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service.
- Provide effective support to the team to enable them to deliver effective and efficient services.
- Respond to queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Motivate and develop the team to ensure smooth functioning of the department.
Additional Information
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Trade certificate or minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in general maintenance.
- Knowledge of various building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
