Job Description: Assistant Professor Data Science, AI with Humanities & Social Sciences Background
Position: Assistant Professor Data Science & Artificial Intelligence (Humanities & Social Sciences)
Department: School of Liberal Arts
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and their applications in Humanities and Social Sciences.
- Develop interdisciplinary curriculum integrating AI, data analytics, ethics, digital humanities, and social science research.
- Conduct high-quality research and publish in reputed journals.
- Guide student projects, dissertations, and research initiatives.
- Collaborate with faculty across disciplines on interdisciplinary research and academic activities.
- Participate in curriculum development, accreditation, and departmental responsibilities.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and industry-academia engagement activities.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Social Science, Digital Humanities, Social Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, data analytics, and their applications in humanities and social sciences.
- Experience in teaching, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Publications in reputed journals are preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Python, R, SQL, or other data analysis tools.
- Machine Learning, NLP, and data visualization.
- Quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Excellent communication, teaching, and mentoring skills.
- Interest in ethical AI, digital society, public policy, and human-centered AI.
