Manager, Observational Health Data Analytics, Epidemiology - Hyderabad

Johnson & Johnson seeks an experienced manager for observational health data analytics in the Global Epidemiology team. The role involves leading real-world evidence studies using large-scale healthcare data, managing analysts, and developing epidemiologic research across the organization from the Hyderabad office.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of observational analyses for clinical characterization, effect estimation, and patient-level prediction studies
- Develop study protocols, analysis plans, and independently guide complex analytical execution from initiation to completion
- Execute statistical analyses using standardized tools and programming across internal and external healthcare data resources
- Mentor junior analysts and provide technical/scientific leadership for the epidemiology data and analytics environment
- Drive methodological improvements and contribute to software development for scalable observational research capabilities
Requirements
- MD or PhD with 6+ years epidemiology/research experience, or Master's degree with 8+ years
- 4+ years statistical programming experience with R and/or SQL database programming
- 2+ years programming against large healthcare datasets such as claims or EHR data
- 2+ years healthcare industry experience in pharmaceutical, payer, provider, CRO, or research settings
- Experience managing administrative claims and electronic health record data analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with English fluency and ability to travel 10% domestically/internationally
- Preferred: OHDSI/OMOP Common Data Model experience, medical terminology knowledge, healthcare research background, publication track record
