Jira Administrator - IT Project Delivery

We are looking for an experienced Jira Administrator to lead the migration from on-premise Jira to Jira Cloud. The role will involve assessing the existing Jira environment, planning and executing the migration, ensuring data and workflow integrity, and supporting users through the transition.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and execute the migration from Jira Server/on-premise to Jira Cloud.Assess existing workflows, custom fields, schemes, projects, plugins, and configurations for cloud compatibility.Engage with business teams to gather, analyze, and document system requirements.Identify and clean up obsolete data, inactive projects, and unused user accounts before migration.Use Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA) and other Atlassian migration tools to support migration activities.Map data and configurations, troubleshoot migration issues, and resolve migration errors.Validate workflows, permissions, configurations, and data integrity after migration.Coordinate testing and user acceptance activities to ensure a smooth transition.Train users and prepare documentation, user guides, and support materials for the Jira Cloud environment.Required Skills & Experience912 years of experience, with 10+ years as a Jira Administrator or Business Systems Analyst.Proven experience managing at least one complete Jira Server-to-Cloud migration.Strong knowledge of Jira Cloud administration, settings, schemes, workflows, permissions, and user management.Hands-on experience with Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA).Strong understanding of data mapping, migration validation, and troubleshooting migration errors.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.Nice to HaveAtlassian Certified Administrator for Jira.Experience with Confluence Cloud migration.Basic knowledge of SQL and REST APIs for data extraction, validation, or migration scripts.
