Role: Senior Platform Engineer (Cloud & Data) Location: Remote Start Date: May 1st Experience: Total 8+ in Data Engineering or Platform || 3+ years in cloud-based data platforms Project / Requirement Overview We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to build and manage scalable, cloud-native data platforms on GCP. The role focuses on platform engineering, governance, automation, and secure data access. Key Responsibilities Platform Engineering: Design and develop cloud-native platform foundations on GCP Create reusable templates for data storage, access control, and environments Enable self-service onboarding for data teams Identity & Access Management: Integrate Okta with GCP IAM and Snowflake Implement SSO, RBAC, and least privilege access Automate user provisioning and lifecycle management Governance & Security: Implement PII tagging, masking, and column-level security Work with BigQuery policy tags and Snowflake tagging Ensure compliance, governance, and auditability Automation: Automate provisioning, access control, and metadata management Utilize Terraform, Python, SQL, and CI/CD pipelines Observability: Monitor platform usage, access, and data quality Build alerting, logging, and audit mechanisms Required Skills GCP (BigQuery, GCS, IAM) Snowflake (RBAC, governance, performance tuning) BigQuery (policy tags, partitioning, external tables) Okta (SSO, federation, lifecycle management) Python, SQL, Terraform CI/CD tools (Bitbucket preferred) Good to Have Apache I
