Senior Database Engineer - PL-SQL

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications : Advanced PL/SQL Expertise (Mandatory) : - Proven ability to design, develop, test, and tune complex stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.- Deep understanding of performance tuning techniques, including query optimization, execution plan analysis, indexing strategies, and database configuration.- Expertise in handling large datasets, bulk data loading (e.g., using SQL-Loader or external tables), and ensuring transactional integrity.Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills (Mandatory) : - Strong aptitude for analyzing complex business requirements and translating them into robust, scalable database designs and solutions.- Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve data discrepancies, performance bottlenecks, and production issues swiftly.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to break down vague problems into actionable technical tasks.Unix/Linux Proficiency (Mandatory) : - Solid experience with shell scripting (Bash, Korn Shell, etc.) for automation of ETL tasks, scheduling jobs, file processing, and system monitoring.- Proficiency in common Unix command-line utilities (e.g., grep, awk, sed, crontab).- Experience with deployment and configuration in a Unix/Linux server environment.Good-to-Have Skills & Qualifications : - Core Java Knowledge : Familiarity with Core Java concepts and ability to integrate database logic with application logic written in Java (e.g., JDBC).- Financial Industry Knowledge : Prior experience working with financial data, concepts (e.g., funds, share classes, investment managers), or regulatory reporting standards (ref:hirist.tech)
