Lead Engineer - Mechanical

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using industry-standard CAD tools.
- Create and maintain 3D models, sheet metal designs, assemblies, and detailed 2D engineering drawings.
- Apply GD&T standards and perform tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure design robustness.
- Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) initiatives.
- Conduct DFMEA activities and identify potential product risks and mitigation plans.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes based on product requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and project management.
- Manage engineering data, revisions, and product releases using PDM/PLM systems.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Product Development (NPD) activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate engineering documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- 4-7 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Hands-on experience in designing components using:
- Stamping
- Plastic Injection Molding
- Machining Processes
- Stamping
- Proficiency in:
- CATIA
- Creo
- SolidWorks
- CATIA
- Experience in PDM/PLM systems and product lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of:
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis
- DFM/DFA Methodologies
- DFMEA
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Sound knowledge of manufacturability considerations for plastic and sheet metal components.
- Experience working with NPI/NPD processes and product compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Quality-focused mindset with strong attention to detail and documentation standards.
