We are seeking a highly experienced  Senior Development Engineer with deep expertise in building large-scale distributed systems and high-performance backend applications. This role is ideal for professionals with strong proficiency in  Java , hands-on experience with  Hadoop ,  SQL , and distributed computing technologies, and a passion for designing scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant software solutions.

As a Senior Development Engineer, you will play a key role in architecting, developing, and optimizing distributed platforms that handle large volumes of data and complex workloads. Working closely with architects, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and product stakeholders, you will contribute to the design of resilient systems while driving engineering excellence, performance optimization, and secure software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance distributed systems and backend services.
• Build reliable distributed applications with a focus on scalability, fault tolerance, and efficient resource utilization.
• Develop robust Java-based services and optimize application performance for large-scale deployments.
• Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries to support high-volume distributed environments.
• Work with Hadoop and distributed data processing technologies to build scalable data solutions.
• Implement secure communication mechanisms using encryption, authentication, and SSL/TLS protocols.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical design sessions, and mentor junior engineers.
• Follow engineering best practices for coding standards, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 10+ years of professional experience in software development with strong expertise in  Java .
• Extensive experience designing and developing  large-scale distributed systems .
• Hands-on experience with  Hadoop ,  SQL , and advanced query optimization techniques.
• Strong understanding of distributed computing concepts, scalability, fault tolerance, resource management, and distributed communication protocols.
• Experience implementing security mechanisms including encryption, authentication, and SSL/TLS.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a focus on performance optimization.
• Experience with  C++is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as  AWS ,  Azure , or  Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .
• Experience with  Docker ,  Kubernetes , CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices is desirable.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills with the ability to mentor teams and contribute to architecture decisions.
