About the role:

• Lead and manage end-to-end technical submittals for chiller projects, including GA drawings, P&IDs, datasheets, and compliance documentation

• Ensure all submittals are fully aligned with customer specifications, project requirements, and applicable standards (AHRI, ASME, PED, IS, etc.)

• Demonstrate strong fundamental understanding of chiller systems, refrigeration, and HVAC engineering, ensuring technically sound and compliant design outputs

• Conduct detailed cost analysis for ETO projects, including BOM validation, should-costing, and design-to-cost initiatives

• identify cost optimization opportunities through value engineering, supplier engagement, and design standardization while ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality requirements.

• Act as the primary technical interface with customers/consultants, addressing comments, clarifications, and driving timely submittal approvals

• Interpret customer specifications and translate them into robust and compliant engineering deliverables

• Drive cross-functional alignment across Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Manufacturing, and Sourcing teams for seamless submittal execution

• Ensure consistency and quality of engineering documentation and design outputs across projects

• Support design reviews and compliance checks, ensuring all deliverables meet internal and external technical requirements

• Proactively identify risks in submittals and specifications, and drive technical resolution and alignment with stakeholders

• Mentor and guide team members on engineering documentation standards, submittal quality, and best practices

Key Requirement:

o   Strong fundamentals in HVAC and chiller systems, including refrigeration cycle, heat exchangers, hydronics, and system integration

o   Proven experience in technical submittals (GA drawings, P&IDs, datasheets, compliance documents) for ETO / project-based engineering

o   Hands-on experience in should-costing, cost evaluation, and detailed cost analysis for ETO projects.

o   Solid knowledge of industry standards and codes (AHRI, ASME, PED, IS) and ability to apply them in engineering design and submittal

o   Ability to interpret customer specifications and deliver technically sound, compliant engineering solutions

o   Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration (Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Manufacturing, Sourcing) for project execution

o   Good communication skills to manage customer interactions, technical clarifications, and submittal approvals
