Key Responsibilities Write and maintain API documentation (reference + guides) Convert OpenAPI specs into structured, readable documentation Create onboarding guides (authentication, sandbox usage, workflows) Develop examples (requests/responses, use cases) Collaborate with API specialists to resolve inconsistencies Ensure documentation aligns with actual API behavior Maintain documentation using Git-based workflows (PRs, versioning) Required Skills Strong Markdown writing skills Experience with API documentation (REST APIs) OpenAPI 3.x understanding (read/write/edit specs) Git / GitHub workflows (branching, PRs) JSON / YAML familiarity Experience with tools like: Redocly / Swagger / Postman / Stoplight Good to Have Experience with docs-as-code systems Familiarity with developer portals Basic understanding of authentication (API keys, OAuth2) Ability to write for both technical and semi-technical audiences What Success Looks Like
