Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Maintenance (OSD Production & Packing)
- Asset Availability: Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for OSD process equipment (e.g., Granulation, Compression, Coating) and primary/secondary packing lines.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor maintenance KPIs, specifically targeting reductions in Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and increases in Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
- Troubleshooting: Minimize equipment downtime by diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and PLC faults on core manufacturing and packing machinery.
2. Utility Operations & Maintenance
- Facility Support: Oversee the upkeep of critical pharmaceutical utilities including HVAC systems, AHUs, compressed air, chillers, and purified water (PW/WFI) systems.
- Energy Management: Drive sustainability projects and continuously optimize utility consumption and operational costs.
3. Compliance & Documentation
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all engineering and maintenance activities strictly comply with cGMP standards, internal SOPs, and international audit requirements.
- Quality Management: Draft and manage QMS documents, lead root-cause analyses (RCA), and close out deviations and CAPAs.
- Qualification & Validation: Execute and document installation, operational, and performance qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) protocols for new and existing equipment.
4. Team Management & Resource Planning
- Shift Operations: Lead cross-functional engineering and maintenance teams, deploying manpower efficiently across shifts.
- Training & EHS: Conduct regular safety and operational training to foster a zero-incident work culture.
- Inventory Management: Oversee engineering spares, critical parts inventory, and vendor/contractor management.
Education & Qualifications
- Degree: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Experience: 12 to 18 years of relevant plant maintenance experience in an OSD (Solid Dosage) pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
- Technical Requirements: Hands-on experience with high-speed OSD packing and processing machinery, handling SCADA/PLC control systems, and managing site utility operations.
