RARR Technologies - Workday HR Reporting Lead

Job Description:We are looking for an experienced Workday HR Reporting Lead / Analyst to lead the design, development, optimization, and governance of enterprise HR reporting and analytics across multiple HR domains. The role will combine strong hands-on Workday reporting expertise with player-coach leadership, requiring the individual to manage and mentor reporting analysts while independently owning complex reporting projects.The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Workday reporting, dashboards, Discovery Boards, Advanced Matrix/Composite reports, calculated fields, and Workday HCM data, along with strong stakeholder management skills and experience supporting complex global organizations.Key Responsibilities:- Lead the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of Workday reporting solutions across global HR functions.- Develop complex reports using Workday Report Writer, including Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Advanced Matrix reports.- Design and maintain dashboards, Discovery Boards, and analytical solutions that provide actionable workforce insights.- Develop and optimize calculated fields, custom reports, prompts, filters, and report logic for complex business requirements.- Support reporting across Workday domains including Core HCM, People/Workforce Administration, Recruiting, Security, Talent & Performance, Benefits, and Compensation.- Translate HR and business requirements into scalable, accurate, and user-friendly reporting solutions.- Partner with HR leaders, HRIS teams, business stakeholders, and country/regional HR teams to gather requirements and drive reporting initiatives.- Manage and independently deliver complex reporting and analytics projects from requirements through development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.- Lead and mentor a team of reporting analysts, provide technical guidance, review deliverables, and support capability development.- Establish and maintain reporting standards, SOPs, process flows, documentation, governance frameworks, and best practices.- Define and monitor reporting KPIs related to data accuracy, report quality, service delivery, adoption, and turnaround times.- Maintain and enhance existing reporting solutions and troubleshoot complex user and data-related issues.- Analyze Workday releases and product updates, assess their impact on reporting solutions, and implement required changes.- Drive continuous improvement through reporting automation, standardization, self-service analytics, and adoption of new Workday capabilities.- Ensure HR reporting maintains appropriate data accuracy, confidentiality, security, privacy, and governance controls.- Work with global stakeholders across multiple countries and operating companies to standardize reporting while addressing local business requirements.- Provide insights and recommendations that support data-driven workforce planning and HR decision-making.- Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives and contribute to building long-term Workday reporting capability within the organization.Required Skills & Experience:- 12 - 16 years of overall experience in HR systems, HRIS, Workday, reporting, or related technology domains.- Minimum 10 years of hands-on Workday experience.- Minimum 7 years of strong Workday reporting and analytics experience.- Expert-level hands-on experience with Workday Report Writer, Advanced Reports, Matrix, Composite, and Advanced Matrix reports.- Strong expertise in calculated fields, dashboards, Discovery Boards, report optimization, and complex reporting logic.- Strong working knowledge of Workday HCM domains including Core HCM, Workforce Administration, Recruiting, Security, Talent & Performance, Benefits, and Compensation.- Experience translating complex HR requirements into technical reporting solutions and analytical frameworks.- Strong experience with reporting governance, documentation, quality controls, and data accuracy.- Proven ability to independently manage complex reporting initiatives and deliver projects end-to-end.- Experience mentoring or managing reporting analysts in a player-coach capacity.- Strong stakeholder-management skills, with experience working with HR leadership, HRIS teams, and global business stakeholders.- Ability to support complex organizational structures spanning multiple countries, business units, and operating companies.- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Strong ownership, adaptability, and bias toward action in ambiguous and fast-changing environments.
