AIDENT Social Welfare Organisation (ASWO) is a non-political, national level organization; having major footprints in North India with rich grassroot experience on the thematic issues like education, health, livelihood & women empowerment; acting as a catalyst of change to facilitates the process of empowering marginalised and left out communities by mobilizing, sensitizing, strengthening to become a strong partner and change agent of the developmental process .
AIDENT is going to implement Girl'sEducation Project supported by Educate Girls US (EGUS) in Ballia District of Uttar Pradesh. Primary objective of this project will be identification and enrolment of Out of school (Drop Out) Girls and sensitization of relevant stakeholders towards the need of Girl child education; leading to the reduction of their drop out rate.
Job Description
- Developing, implementing and maintaining sound operational practices, tools and strategies for Identification and Enrolment of out of School Girls (OOSGs).
- Developing Social Mobilisation plan to strengthen work with the communities in close consultation with Project team and EGUS.
- Liaison with the key district officials & other stakeholders for the project.
- Develop District, block and community profile for all targeted areas.
- Identify, capacitate and engage the community influencers for Girl Enrolment exercise.
- Create implementation maps for the district & selected blocks, oversee the local teams of all blocks and develop a good system which is standard and similar in all locations.
- Develop, execute as well as supervise the reporting system to disseminate relevant inflow of information to field cadres as well as top management so that entire system function in a most efficient manner.
- Responsible for achieving the project activities and targets as per given time line with the active participation of the community.
- Responsible for preparing a monthly/ Quarterly report for review and reporting.
- Prepare a need-based monthly action plan and follow up action plans.
- Organising meetings and project visits for internal or external stakeholders.
- Providing necessary support to the team for timely and quality implementation of project plans.
- Regular follow ups with Identification / Enrolment Coordinators regarding development / gaps.
- Carrying out any other additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager/Director
Qualification:
Post-graduation/ Graduation in Social Sciences, Management, Education, Rural Development.
Experience:
- Around 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in Social Sector (preferably in Education).
- Experience of building and nurturing relationships with government and stakeholders
Skills and Competencies
- Sound contextual knowledge of local issues, organizational relationships, social and cultural constraints and realities, and environmental conditions, Right to Education, Child Psychology, and Community Mobilisation.
- Possess leadership skill and is decisive, action-oriented and adaptable
- Good knowledge of MIS related work, MS Office and other software.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills
- Ability to multitask and work against tight timelines.
- Working effectively and inclusively with a range of people both within and outside of the organization
- Fluency in verbal and written English, Hindi and local language.
- Intensive Field Visit in the district.
