The Government and public sector transactions services is part of EY's Government & Public Sector (GPS) Services which is a network of highly skilled professionals from assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services, devoted to serving the government and public sector organizations and institutions. 

The practice combines private sector leading practice with an understanding of the public sector’s diverse needs, focused on delivering improved public services. Government and public sector transactions services, sits under EY’s Transaction Advisory Services practice, a market-leading, multi-disciplinary team, working with leading businesses across a range of industries. This practice is in a unique position to deliver implementable strategies given the firm’s sector depth, transaction perspectives, and operational insights. 

The practice provides experience working with various sectors such as, Transport, Social & Health care, Education, Urban & Infrastructure, Economic Development Advisory , Water waste & Sanitation, Power & Utilities and Public Finance & Management.

SaT - TCF - Infrastructure Advisory :

Strategy and Transactions enables clients to reimagine ecosystems, reshape portfolios and reinvent for a better future. We help corporates, private equity, governments, sovereign wealth funds, private and family businesses, and educational institutions with their key financial issues. Our team helps clients manage their risk/return trade-offs to support them with better decision-making around financing and capital efficiency.

Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

• Economic and financial analysis for infrastructure and industrial development projects.
• Sector research, policy analysis, and economic benchmarking.
• Feasibility studies, demand assessment, and investment analysis.
• Industrial cluster assessment, SEZ planning, and export competitiveness analysis.
• Data analytics, financial modelling, and interpretation of macroeconomic and trade datasets.
• Preparation of client-ready reports, presentations, and policy recommendations.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and secondary research.

Skills and attributes

To qualify for the role you must have
Qualification

• Bachelor or Master in Economics from a well reputed Institution

Experience

• •\tExperience in economic analysis, policy research, infrastructure advisory, or management consulting assignments. •\tExposure to feasibility assessment, industrial development, SEZs, logistics, export promotion, or investment promotion projects. •\tExperience in analysing economic, financial, trade, demographic, or sectoral datasets to support strategic decision-making. •\tPreparation of benchmarking studies, market assessments, and analytical reports. •\tExperience interacting with government departments, development agencies, or public sector clients would be an advantage. •\tStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare high-quality client presentations and reports.
