Responsibilities

• Provide timely high quality client service as part of the client engagement teams serving large and small companies in a variety of industries.

• Develop strong working relationships while working closely with teams to understand and solve clients complex businesses and challenges.

• Understanding clients needs and expectations their business and industry accounting and control systems employees company values and industry-related GAAP and GAAS issues

• Developing and demonstrating an understanding of the RSM US audit approach methodology and tools

• Performing audit procedures and tests in accordance with the RSM audit methodology based overall audit plan ensuring proper documentation of work performed.

• Identifying areas of risk and accounting and auditing issues; discuss with engagement teams to solve issues that arise.

• Researching technical accounting issues

• Developing industry expertise

• Preparing audit reports and management letters

• Exercising professional skepticism judgment and adhere to the code of ethics while on engagements

• Ensuring that documentation is compliant with quality standards of the firm

• Working collaboratively as a part of the team and communicate effectively with RSM audit professionals

• Provide supervision and development training for associates

• Taking ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables to ensure service excellence through prompt responses to internal and external clients

• Providing timely high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the development and execution of the audit work plan and client deliverables

• Understanding RSM US and RSM Delivery Centers line of business service capabilities and work as a team in providing an integrated service delivery

• Ensuring professional development through ongoing education

• Participate in a range of projects and open to collaborate and work with multiple teams

• Demonstrating critical thinking problem solving initiative and timely completion of work.

• Provide oversight to senior associates and associates including training and development activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors in Commerce

• Non-qualified: 6 years of relevant experience

• CA qualified 4 years relevant experience ACCA/CPA qualified 5 years relevant experience

• Strong technical skills in accounting including GAAP and GAAS

• Strong multi-tasking and project management skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication (English) as the position requires frequent communications with RSM International clients and the United States based engagement teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong Data Analytical skills including advanced Excel skills (Vlookups pivot tables and basic formulas) Word and PowerPoint

• Experience in Financial Institutions industry
