Profile:Maintenance Engineer- Mechanical

Experience:

• 6-10 years in maintenance within a rubber processing or comparable process plant.

Roles:

• Take ownership of mechanical utility and equipment health of the plant.
• Support machine erection and commissioning during plant setup.
• Maintain rubber processing machinery including mixers calenders curing presses and belt-handling equipment.
• Maintain and set grinding equipment used for belt surface finishing while ensuring surface accuracy and thickness tolerance.
• Operate and maintain lathe and machining equipment for in-house spares tooling shaft and roller work.
• Develop and execute machine-wise preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure maximum machine availability and minimum breakdown hours.
• Maintain critical spare inventory with defined minimum stock levels.
• Conduct physical verification of spares and consumables and reconcile inventory records.
• Manage plant utilities including boilers compressors chillers cooling towers water systems and electrical distribution as applicable.
• Work with PLC-controlled machinery CNC equipment and SCADA/data acquisition systems.
• Coordinate with vendors for controls and instrumentation faults and communicate technical issues accurately.
• Prepare preventive maintenance SOPs and checklists for daily weekly monthly and annual activities.
• Coordinate with Stores for spare indenting receipt verification issue control and reorder levels.
• Maintain complete machine history records covering breakdowns causes corrective actions spares consumed and downtime.
• Coordinate with Production regarding shutdown windows and maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding warranty AMC and service visits.
• Train operators on basic machine care safe operation and first-level fault identification.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of repeat breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Maintain maintenance records and prepare annual maintenance spares and equipment CAPEX plans.
• Maintain machine drawings layouts and manuals in an indexed and retrievable manner.
• Read and mark up CAD drawings where required.

Qualification:

• BE / in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with rubber industry background.
• Engineering degree is mandatory; Diploma candidates are not to be considered.
• Professional standard of language and conduct is required.
