About the Role

We’re looking for experienced B2B sales professionals with a strong background in technical and scientific materials to contribute to a project focused on evaluating and improving AI systems.

You’ll apply your sales expertise to realistic prospecting and qualification scenarios, translating complex technical products into clear business value, handling objections, and providing structured insights based on real-world sales experience.

No prior AI experience is required. Your technical sales knowledge, commercial judgment, and communication skills are the core qualifications.

What You’ll Do

• Identify and prospect B2B leads within technical and scientific materials markets.

• Research prospective customers and use targeted outreach strategies to identify relevant opportunities.

• Qualify leads based on business needs, budget, decision-making authority, level of interest, and product fit.

• Communicate complex technical value propositions clearly to both technical and non-technical buyers.

• Translate technical product features, specifications, and applications into practical business benefits.

• Develop and deliver tailored written and verbal sales presentations.

• Handle common sales objections using factual, benefits-focused responses grounded in industry knowledge.

• Document prospect interactions, customer feedback, objections, and market insights.

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to refine sales messaging based on market feedback.

• Apply consultative selling principles when assessing customer needs and recommending solutions.

Requirements

• Demonstrated B2B sales experience in technical or scientific materials, products, or related markets.

• Strong understanding of technical materials, products, and their industrial or commercial applications.

• Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical decision-makers.

• Strong B2B lead prospecting and qualification skills.

• Experience handling objections and negotiating in a consultative sales environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical and commercial judgment.

• Ability to assess prospect potential and adapt sales approaches based on customer needs.

• Ability to provide concise, accurate, and actionable feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience selling technical or scientific materials across multiple industries.

• Familiarity with CRM platforms and B2B sales intelligence or digital prospecting tools.

• Experience working with technical buyers, procurement teams, engineers, scientists, or other specialized stakeholders.

• Experience developing technical sales presentations, proposals, or customer-facing materials.

• Experience translating technical specifications into ROI, operational, cost, performance, or other business outcomes.

• Familiarity with AI evaluation, AI training, or technology projects is helpful but not required.

Compensation & Engagement

• Hourly rate: $45–$85/hour.

• Annual compensation equivalent: $93,600–$176,800 based on a 40-hour workweek.

• Independent contractor engagement.
