Engineering Manager – Solar PV & BESS Plant Design Location: Gurugram, India Experience: 10–15 Years Employment Type: Full-time About the Role We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the design and delivery of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects for international markets such as Australia, USA, Europe, and Middle East . The role involves managing engineering design, ensuring compliance with global standards, and leading a team to deliver high-quality, bankable projects. Key Responsibilities 1. Solar PV Engineering Lead design of utility-scale solar projects (50MW–500MW+) Manage DC & AC system design, cable sizing, layouts, and SLDs Review energy yield (PVSyst) and optimize plant performance Coordinate with civil, structural, and equipment teams 2. BESS Engineering Design grid-scale battery systems (50MWh–1000MWh+) Define system architecture (AC/DC coupled) Ensure safety compliance (NFPA / IEC standards) Support vendor selection and technical evaluations 3. Grid & Power Systems Handle grid connection requirements (AU / US / EU / ME) Lead studies: load flow, short circuit, protection coordination Coordinate with utilities and grid operators 4. Substation Engineering Design HV/MV substations (33kV–400kV) Manage protection systems, SCADA, and IEC 61850 systems Review earthing and metering systems 5. Documentation & Client Handling Prepare high-quality technical documents and reports Handle client, Independent Engineer (IE), and LTA queries Ensure compliance with international standards 6. Team Leadership Lead and manage a team of 15–25 engineers Ensure timely delivery of multiple projects
