About the Role

Use your legal expertise to help improve the accuracy and quality of large-scale legal document processing.

We’re looking for experienced, U.S.-qualified lawyers with strong commercial and generalist legal experience who can review processed legal documents, develop clear quality-control standards, and identify errors with a high degree of precision.

This is a review and verification role—not legal drafting or advisory work . Breadth across different types of legal documents is more important than deep specialization in a single practice area.

What You’ll Do

• Develop clear, practical rubrics for evaluating processed legal documents that can be consistently understood and applied by non-lawyers.

• Review large volumes of processed legal documents against established quality-control rubrics.

• Verify that identifying, confidential, and sensitive information has been handled correctly.

• Identify, flag, and categorize document-processing defects.

• Escalate ambiguous or complex cases for further adjudication.

• Apply consistent judgment and attention to detail across high-volume review workflows.

• Help improve review protocols and quality standards based on recurring issues and observed patterns.

Document Types You May Review

You should be comfortable working across a broad range of commercial and legal documents, including:

• Commercial contracts

• Employment and HR records

• Intellectual property and technology agreements

• Regulatory filings

• Corporate records

• Insurance policies

• Financing and debt instruments

• Litigation files

• Real estate documents

• Tax filings

Breadth of legal document experience is highly valued.

What You Bring

• U.S.-based, qualified lawyer with 3+ years of post-qualification experience .

• Experience working in-house or as a generalist commercial counsel is preferred.

• Ability to confidently work across multiple legal document types and practice areas.

• Strong attention to detail, precision, and consistency when reviewing high volumes of documents.

• Ability to follow written protocols closely while identifying opportunities to improve them.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

• Clear written communication and sound professional judgment.

Compensation & Engagement

• Rate: $60/hour

• Annualized Equivalent: $124,800

• Location: United States

• Work Arrangement: Fully remote

• Engagement Type: Independent contractor

• Schedule: Flexible

• Payment: Weekly via Stripe or Wise

Annualized compensation is based on 2,080 hours per year for comparison purposes only. Actual earnings depend on the number of hours and projects completed.

Contract & Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.

• Work is fully remote and can be completed on your own schedule.

• Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on project needs and performance.

• Your work will not require access to confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, or institution.

• Payments are made weekly via Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
