SAP PP-QM Manager - TechOps - Application Management - Consultant

The Opportunity

We are looking for an SAP PP/QM Manager to join the EY GDS Team. As part of our EY GDS – TechOps team, you will be responsible for providing functional support for SAP Plant Maintenance across various regions for our global clients. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams to address issues, implement enhancements, and optimize design to meet business requirements.  A SAP Manager for Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) leads end-to-end implementation, configuration, and support for manufacturing and quality processes in S/4HANA. They define solution architecture, optimize production/quality workflows, and mentor teams to ensure integration with MM, SD, and PM modules

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in related technology field (Computer, Engineering, Science, etc.) or comparable job experiences.
• 8+ Years of experience required in one or more areas within SAP PP/QM preferably with Global client. At least 1 year of implementation experience
• Responsible for providing support SAP PP/QM module incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Support incident solving by analyzing incidents raised by users and provides solutions.
• Understand business needs and deliver solutions to make processes more efficient and simpler whenever possible.
• Cross-functional communication skills; experience in offshore/onsite model.
• Ability to work with minimal guidance or supervision in a time critical environment.
• Flexibility in managing work hours due to the volatile nature of Application Management work including ability to do shifts and being on call for critical business requirements

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Sound experience in configuring BOMs, Routings, Work Centers, MRP, Production/Process Orders, and Batch Management.
• Good knowledge in Setting up inspection plans, inspection lots, sampling schemes, quality certificates, and defect recording/nonconformance management.
• An understanding on establishing pieces of equipment and functional location structure, maintenance BOMs
• Experience in integration of plant maintenance with material management, quality management and production planning modules
• SAP Certification in SAP PP/QM

What you will do:

• Provide day to day Application Management support for SAP Applications across IT Service Management including service requests, incident management, enhancement requests, change management and problem management as Level 2 or 3 Application Management Specialist
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, assess business needs and provide advice on SAP PP/QM solutions and designs.
• Project Leadership: Manage full-cycle implementations, rollouts, and enhancements, including project planning, risk management, and resource allocation.
• Solution Design & Configuration : Configure SAP PP (Work Centers, BOM, Routings, MRP, Capacity Planning) and QM (Inspection Plans, Quality Notifications, Certificates) modules.
• Business Integration : Analyze business needs to map, design, and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless integration with MM, SD, and FICO.
• Team Mentorship & Suppor t: Guide functional consultants, lead UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and provide post-production support to resolve issues.
• Documentation & Training : Prepare functional specifications, technical documentation, and conduct user training workshops.
• Develop and maintain documentation including configuration, user guides and test scripts.
• Working closely with customers and teams to ensure issues and requests are followed-up and addressed timely.
• Handle change requests with a clear understanding of new business requirements.
• Defect resolution and defect analysis related to PM.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies and SAP best practices to drive operational efficiency through automation and innovation
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide off hours support as needed to ensure the availability and reliability of critical SAP systems.
• Available to work on shift hours depending on the requirement of the client
