Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Design Specialist to join our Global Talent, Learning & Leadership Development Center of Excellence Team. In this role, you will develop engaging, impactful learning content to support the organization and collaborate with the business to determine the best approaches for addressing learning needs. You will act as a collaborative partner to consult with stakeholders and deliver innovative learning solutions based on targeted business needs to drive organizational performance and employee development.

This position reports to the Manager, Leadership Development Programs, based in Hong Kong.

You will make an impact in the following way:

• Design and develop learning content across multiple formats (e-learning, facilitator guides, job aids, micro-learning, etc.) for a range of business functions, including but not limited to safety, patent awareness, R&D, and professional skills.
• Consult directly with business leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to conduct needs assessments, identify earning needs, and recommend targeted learning solutions across the organization as directed by Talent Centre of Excellence.
• Adapt and/or customize content from internal SMEs, licensed vendors and content libraries to create Belden-specific learning assets that are practical and immediately applicable.
• Contribute to the build-out of skill academies — translating critical capability to skill focused structured, scalable learning pathways deployable across the organization through the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Support the development of AI-enabled learning experiences, including training Belden's internal AI tools with curated content for on-the-job learning application support.
• Collaborate with the learning technology team to deploy and manage content and learner experience on our LMS.
• Develop evaluation metrics, track, report and use learner feedback and business performance data to continuously improve content effectiveness
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities, delivering quality outcomes on time and independently

What you will bring:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in instructional design or learning development in a corporate environment. Candidate with more experience will be considered for Senior Instructional Design Specialist.
• Proficiency in rapid authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or equivalent) and multimedia content production including audio, video, and graphics
• Solid knowledge of instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles
• Ability to design for scale across large, geographically distributed organizations including multi-language and mobile enabled learning solutions
• Demonstrated experience adapting internal knowledge, and external licensed or vendor content for organizational use
• Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills — comfortable engaging business subject matter experts independently to propose and build out solutions
• Experience designing for diverse, multicultural audiences with public company experience preferred
• Curious and forward-thinking about AI and emerging learning technologies
• Knowledge of SCORM, xAPI, and LMS content management
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in additional language such as Simplified Chinese, German, etc is an asset
• Prior experience in Talent Management or L&D in a corporate setting preferred
