Data Engineer (Remote) — ZeroToOne.AI

The work We run a Large Behavioral Model that generates billions of spatiotemporal predictions daily for Fortune 500 clients. The model is only as good as the data flowing into it. You will build and maintain the pipelines that ingest, transform, and serve training and inference data for that model. Apache Spark on large-scale event streams. Airflow for orchestration. AWS underneath. You'll work alongside senior engineers and technical leads, take ownership of pipeline components as you ramp up, and grow into deeper scope over time. What you'll do Build and operate Spark + Airflow pipelines that process billions of rows per day Implement data quality checks, monitor pipeline health, and resolve data quality issues Support AWS infrastructure (S3, EC2, EKS) using Terraform Contribute to lakehouse components built on Apache Iceberg Help maintain pipeline monitoring and alerting with Prometheus Collaborate with ML engineers and product teams on data requirements Write and maintain clear technical documentation What we need 3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience Strong Python and SQL Production experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools Working knowledge of Apache Spark AWS fundamentals (S3, EC2, IAM) Understanding of data warehouse or lakehouse concepts, including partitioning Attention to detail on data quality and correctness Strong written English and comfort working with a US-based team Nice to have Exposure to Iceberg, Delta Lake, or similar open table formats Kubernetes or containerized workloads Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code AdTech, MarTech, or consumer data domains Open-source contributions What we offer Full-time, fully remote within India Salary: ₹25-45 LPA Overlap with US hours: 3-4 hours with US Eastern, typically eveni
