About the job
Key Responsibilities:
A. Marketing Website 1. Evolve and refine the existing v7 prototype (built in HTML/CSS/JS) into a production-grade, visually polished site2. Design section layouts for platform storytelling, including posture products, data estate intelligence, and regulatory knowledge base
3. Create interactive UI mockups that demonstrate platform value without requiring a live environment
4. Own the visual design system, including typography, color tokens, component library, and spacing scale B. Client Portal Application 1. Design the compliance posture dashboard, including score summaries, regulation-level breakdowns, and finding drill-downs
2. Design data estate intelligence views such as asset maps, lineage graphs, and ownership heatmaps
3. Design the AI Copilot chat interface embedded within the posture report
4. Create information-dense, data-heavy screens that remain readable and actionable for executive audiences (CCO, CDO, Board)C. Brand & Visual Identity 1. Refine the Vigil brand within the DataHounds parent company architecture
2. Build a scalable design system that works across the marketing site, the portal, and sales materials

Other requirements
Must Have:
1. 3–6 years of UI/UX design experience, ideally with SaaS or data/analytics products
2. Strong portfolio demonstrating information-dense dashboard design (compliance, risk, analytics, or BI tooling preferred)
3. Proficiency in Figma, including components, auto-layout, prototyping, and developer handoff
4. Solid grasp of HTML/CSS fundamentals; while coding is not required, designs should be feasible to build without friction
5. Experience designing for executive/C-level users where clarity and credibility are prioritized over decoration
6. Ability to work from a coded prototype (v7 HTML file) and translate it into a structured design system
Nice to Have:
1. Experience designing for regulated industries such as fintech, healthtech, govtech, or insurance
2. Familiarity with data visualization, including compliance score gauges, regulatory coverage bars, and lineage graph views
3. Experience using design tokens mapped to a CSS variable system
4. Prior work on AI/LLM chat interfaces embedded within product UIs
5. Exposure to design systems like Radix, shadcn, or similar component-first frameworks
