Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components using CAD tools.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturers and vendors to source parts and ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability.
  • Support prototyping and testing of designs, ensuring they meet performance and quality standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including 2D drawings, 3D models, and assembly instructions.
  • Conduct simulations and mechanical tests to validate design choices.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team to integrate mechanical components with electrical and software systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors for manufacturing
  • Material & Robot Assembly + Basic Structural QC Testing

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar).
  • Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • Familiarity with prototyping, 3D printing, and working with vendors and manufacturers.
  • Knowledge of DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Valued Skills

  • Prior experience in robotics or electromechanical systems.
  • Exposure to material selection and component testing.
  • Familiarity with agile project management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Tendency to work with minimal guidance and get things done.
